Judging by what I've seen most of the times I've visited msn.com it was Obama who was in the lead, with a McCain falling right behind. But today!.. Obama has skyrocketed and practically doubled McCain's votes.

1.John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.

2.According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."

3.His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.

A Word on the Economy please..??

Was I the only one tonight to see that both presidential candidates avoided the bail out plans as much as possible? I was extremely disappointed tonight not to hear more on the economy and their future plans to increase stability.
Two things:
One: As far as Obama being able to stand next to McCaina and showing a side of himself that not a lot of Americans have seen before. He did very well. He continuously shot back with his objections. But, to hear Obama onstantly say, at least 8 times, "I agree with Senator McCain" I saw that as a was out of discussion about that topic. Obama was constantly slashed by McCain and I saw that that was all Mccain really did, was to slash Obama. As far as experience I think Obama is forecefull enough to make the right judgement after tonight.
Two: When it came down to shutting up and letting Obama speak that did not happen. I was completely annoyed at the fact of McCain running on about his experience. But after tonight I would have thought of McCain having little experience. I do think that McCain did make a better point about the Iraq and how we need to win in Iraq to win in Afghanistan. As where Obama said we need to lose in Iraq to win in Afghanistan. I did not understand how thats possible. I knew about all McCain's experience but not enough on his beliefs. The war is not the only thing I am interested clearly.

We did infact learn that both men have a lot of fire.

Give It Up McCain

Republicans in New York say McCain is just getting in the way of this newly born crisis of the $700 bail out. True? I certainly think so.

To McCain: Dont count your chickens before they hatch. Yeah sure its good to be involved in something that you were called apon to make decision. You've done and put your point and your choice to the bail out, so that's all they need from you.. stop trying to throw orders around already. or ever in the case that you lose. Oh I certainly hope so.

Another inportant thing that totally blew my mind is his point of putting his campaign on hold?.. and missing the first of the presidential debates!! (which starts tomorrow btw)

A little cold feet for McCain?

$700 BILLION loan?

Sorry to be off topic from the election but if you havent already noticed the crisis in New York then start your research. As a way out of making the economy any more worse than it already is, President Bush gave a speech today on a $700 Billion loan given to major companies in New York of which have gone bankrupt. Bush said, "We are in the midst of a serious financial crisis," during his speech today. Also that, "Our entire economy is in danger."

Basically the reason they are proposing this bailout is to stop the numerous amount of people filing for unemployment, the people losing their homes becoming homeless, not being able to pay morgages, things like that. I dont have much to say on this because the speech it self was I admit a bit confusing (shocking I know, coming from Bush) but I did find out that Bush plans to meet with both Governors, John McCain and Barack Obama, both in the running for the election (which by the way is in less than 40 days now). Bush hopes "to work on driving toward a bipartisan and timely solution on the financial rescue package," in other words, create a suitable plan for the years to come that both McCain and Obama agree on. Which I think might not be as easy as Bush thinks. McCain stated that if he was president today he would have fired the bailout team. shocker.


I'm starting to notice from the news and such that a lot of people have started to understand the bailout plan over the past week. Realizing that the situation on Wall Street could ruin Main Street too.
Shocking right? not really.
Lets be real here, WAKE UP PEOPLE!! and start thinking about your homes, savings, education funds, retirement funds, OR EVEN THE SAKE OF OUR FINANCIAL HEALTH OF OUR COUNTRY.

To be honest.. I think that this just might work. I'd rather see the nation spend money on helping people that actually live in this nation trying to fight for their living than give it out to homeless that are lazy and dont do shit to make their lifes better. Another thing, this amount of $700 Billion isn't too far from all the money wasted on the war in Iraq which is STILL going on after what 7 years now, alomost 8.

I dont know, give me your thoughts. I need some levrage.

Rejection in the Election

If your anybody then you know how LL aka Lindsay Lohan has been trying to turn her 'bad stride' around and has become not only a lesbian but believe it or not, a politician.

With that, LL voluntarily offered to host some fundraisers for Obama to of course "get the younger crowd involved". Because we all want LL as our wonderful influence huh? Also I hear Hueh Heffner offered as well and was also rejected. Cus we need 3 little bunnies running around the white house :)

Obama's team rejected this offer with no hesistation stating that the actress "is not exactly the kind of high-profile star who would be a positive for us.”

Of course when McCain heard of this his team immediatly shot back with the stupid Bill Ayers(a friend of Obama's) is a terroist so why should they be rejecting LL ordeal.

Palin's Email Hacked!!!

So as a I was going through the local news on msn I read that Govenor Palin's yahoo email account had been hacked into."The hacker guessed that Alaska's governor had met her husband in high school, and knew Palin's date of birth and home Zip code. Using those details, the hacker tricked Yahoo Inc.'s service into assigning a new password, "popcorn," for Palin's e-mail account, according to a chronology of the crime published on the Web site where the hacking was first revealed."-msn.com I was shocked! But also not surprised. Considering the technology today with myspace and facebook sites like that people can find out almost everything about you. Meaning that all they needed to do was to click the 'forget my password' button and research the hint question given. Which is exactly how the hackers did it. According to msn news Palin used this account as a personal legal business account. Most people said the emails found weren't anything to throw a red flag up about. But this is nothing big but I thought it was interesting that a Governor running for VP, has such an easy and personal email address that hackers can find. Hmm, not my pick for a VP.

Seven Mistakes...

To help make your season a perfect one here are my top 7 mistakes made during an election season:

7. REGISTERING FOR A PARTY TOO SOON
-Take your time when choosing your party. You can be registered as undecided as long as you like, the government wont come after you :). Plus it's better to understand your party's belief more before you choose a specific one.

6. VOTING FOR A PARTY, NOT A CANDIDATE
-This is a very common mistake, people tend to vote for the candidate who is the ame party as they are, but this can lead to a big mistake if you dont research enough. Even though you think that since they are the same party as you they believe the same things you do. NO. For example Ron Paul was rediculed by his party because he said on air, "vote for a candidate not a party", and he is exactly right. So watch out and actually listen to the things they are saying and what they believe in. You might be surprised what you learn about them.

5. NOT DOING THE RESEARCH
-Voting, if done correctly can be a hard job. There are plenty of things the news says about a certain candidate but might not always be true. Check out their websites, that is where all the facts should be.

4. NOT VOTING IN THE PRIMARIES
-This is one is a little too late for all you readers seeing that the primaries were earlier on int he year. But I strongly advise this. If you're old enogh at the time then do it! I personally was not and I highly wish I was. If you like a certain candidate then vote for them in the primaries! If not it could jeoprodize their chances in that elcetion.

3. (IN A CANDIDATES POSITION) DOING AND SAYING THE WRONG THINGS
-We've all seen lately what can happen if you leak the wrong information to the public, trouble. This doesnt apply just to you as the candidate but your whole family as well. For a GREAT example: Sarah Palin; her daughter of 17 years is now pregnant, not something Palin wants or needs the world to know now does she. So be smart and what your mouth!

2. EASILY INFLUENCED
-In some cases, not everyone will use their right to their own oppinion. Just because your family or friends are highly judgemental and want you to vote for a certain person doesnt mean you have to obey. :) A view things to do to avoid this is: keeping your vote and beliefs a secret, avoid politics when a conversation strikes up, and keep an open mind at all times.

1. NOT VOTING
-THIS ONE IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!! Half the people who complain about a president in the past didnt even vote. YOu cant expect change in the United States if you yourself dont make an effort to change it! So this season get down to your local college and register. Almost all colleges have a booth at sometime that allows you to register right there and then! Plus you'll get a cool pin. Also, try your best to get other involved too! Especially the young adults like muah. THIS IS OUR FUTURE AND WE NEED TO BE THE ONES MAKING RIGHT! If you want to see change today than choose: VOTE OR DIE.

Obama's Religion is...?

Now it might not be a big deal to most of the voting people now but not everyone is sure on what Barack Obama believes in/stands for. Towards the beginning of the primaries Obama was said to be muslim because, of course, his name. Now if you look at Barack's website, barackobama.com it now says that he is Christian. Recently, for a short period of time the website showed Barack's religion as the black church. Now that isnt the exact name for that Icannot remember. But I can remeber its beliefs. For one, this particular religion believes that the white man is bringing the world down, that jesus was black and that with whites in the way blacks cannot live to their full potential basically. this to me is actually the opposite to the KKK, which I was not hapy with at all. I for one was planning to vote for Obama in November but after this I am at a loss of words for who I am voting for. Another thing that not only I caught but which the Los Angeles Time found was Michelle Obama's past, and what was so interesting about it. Michelle Obama was part of a group in college for supporting blacks and their way of life. In other words the way the blacks are "forced to live with the circumstances of the white man being in charge." I absolutly am not ok with this. To me this is another Adolf Hilter waiting to happy and frantly I'm scared. With the power Obama already has with the young crowd one, blacks, and majority of the democrats, who knows what can happen. If he already has us on his side to vote what can him or his wife influece to the new world. Tax cuts and ending the fight in Iraq is something I know many people want and will vote for him just to get this, but what else? As this being my first election I do plan on voting but now i just cant decide. McCain, a clone of our current President, or Obama, a man to keep the black power up. Who would you pick?
